Our History

Established in 2019, Net Zero Group is a certified B Corp and endorsed by the UN Climate Change Secretariat.

Our proprietary carbon reporting software, NetScope enables customers to measure, reduce and offset their carbon emissions to meet the highest standards of environmental performance to ultimately achieve Net Zero.

2019

Net Zero Group was founded with a vision

Mark founded Net Zero Group in September 2019 in response to the Climate Emergency and school children around the world (including his own kids Matilda & Harry) demonstrating in the playground calling for action in relation to climate change.

Net Zero Group was born with the objective of simplifying the complexity of carbon reporting and reduction utilising both technology and consulting solutions.

2020 - 2021

iOffset is Born

Covid brought challenges but also a temporary pause in carbon emissions, leading to smarter, more carbon-efficient work practices.

Net Zero Group emerged stronger, gaining expertise in carbon markets and launching iOffset. The company relocated to Spinningfields, Manchester, expanded its regional client network, and was appointed Grupo Santander's global offset partner.

2022

BCorp Certified

Following an 18-month process Net Zero Group was proudly awarded B Corp status and NetScope was launched in Q2 with clients such as Aston Barclay, Excalon and Santander Consumer Finance utilising the platform.

Headcount grew from 2 employees to a team of 7 as the business expanded.

2023

Official sustainability partners of Lord’s Cricket & VW

MCC Lords Cricket appoint Net Zero Group to develop their Net Zero Strategy and utilise NetScope to engage fans to measure and reduce their own carbon emissions. Following a tender process the business was successful with VWG and a driving carbon calculator was commissioned for VW customers.
